I quite like this Rope/Birdman-style approach particularly with Charlie…I'd say they should do at least one more episode in this style (with Charlie in the foreground again).

Popular in Scandinavia apparently.

You should've written this show man.

I was under the impression it was just filmed in Svalbard. I went into the show thinking it was actually set in a real place not a fictional one, so this makes things a bit weird! Explains the fact everyone speaks English though, and most of the cast are British/Irish/American.

I found it hilarious that the mother didn't say anything about her pig encounter to anyone afterwards. Like "WTF A PIG" then no mention of it afterwards…maybe she forgot. Too busy trying to remember how to act (sorry but she's probably the weakest actor in the pilot).

I swear it said "with Christopher Eccleston", implying he was in it but kinda not in it…same goes for Michael Gambon (whose character is dying).

Torrent them like I do. That said, I couldn't find any for Hannibal easily enough so bought the blu-rays…worth it for that particular series!

I am British and I agree. I haven't watched The Missing yet but The Fall was the only decent UK drama in years. All the rest I've seen episodes of have been either highly boring, highly conventional, or both. I generally think US dramas are of a much higher quality.

Network synergy…I would love it if either Louis CK or the cast of Sunny showed up in Archer. Just like some of the casts of Reno 911 and Trailer Park Boys have done in the past.

"Who does a guy have to stab to get a brownie round here?"

Was gonna say, there was little Coors Light product placement in the last two episodes, but it was quite noticeable in this episode. Maybe one of the Coors suits piped up…

Yeah it sucks. I have a separate Disqus account just for AV Club? What's with that…

Talking Heads are great, Sunny is great. I'm not surprised!

YES! More brilliance from Dee and Dennis this episode. Dee especially - PERFECT comic timing on that "…did you grow up in a cartoon?" line! Couldn't stop laughing. And that was just after Dennis' taxes rant. I used to think of Dee and Dennis as my least favourite of The Gang, but this season is making me reevaluate

Oh actually I'd been meaning to get into Venture Bros. I've only seen a few episodes and it was bizarre! Also, just remembered my love for several Adult Swim series'…Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Harvey Birdman, Sealab 2021…

Anyone know how long this special is? Just want to check it falls within my cost-per-minute budget.

I don't think I can carry on watching this show. The last season was a bit of a chore.

There's only so far a socially inept protagonist can go. Unless he is hilariously so (Larry David, The Gang from It's Always Sunny, Reno 911, Trailer Park Boys etc).

This show is quite interesting. Reminds me of a few shows from here in the UK - the BBC Adrian Mole dramas, a short-lived Channel 4 comedy called Peter Versus Life, and to a lesser extent things like Spaced, Nathan Barley and Peep Show. The surreal elements are a bit like that recent David Wain film They Came Together
