I'm a little confused. Caruso doesn't say "YEAHHH…". In order for this to make sense, we must contemplate the existence of some kind of pirate Roger Daltrey as well.

Fantastic list. Mine would of course be different, but that doesn't undermine its fantasticity.
I stand corrected. The album was "Running With Scissors", but the song I should have referred to was "Pretty Fly For a Rabbi". I really wasn't crazy about that song, but I did love "Albequerque".
Nah, I don't really want to talk about that. I feel like that was just a phase I was going through and I'm over it now, like how some people get into emo or geology and then move on to other things when they grow up a bit. I'm really more into music now, dude.
Ah yes, I remember it well
I was 13 or so. It was a good three years before I actually gave a shit about music. I only cared about things that were funny at the time. Accordingly, the first album I bought for myself was "Running With Scissors". That's the one with "Amish Paradise" for those who don't know.
This one hurts
Celebrity deaths generally don't phase me that much, but when I heard about this today it felt like a kick in the chest. If I were one for list making, "Walk on By" and "Hot Buttered Soul" would each have a place at or near the top for songs and albums. Sometimes you listen to so much music that it…
I'm totally taking credit for the fact that they posted a clip.
Simmer down, Mando. The comment wasn't directed at you, it was directed at the teenagers referred to in the article.
Proposal for mild reform
I like this feature, but it's really unsatisfying if we don't actually get to hear the band. It leaves one only capable of making superficial judgments like "Violins aren't punk" without enough context. We get a couple paragraphs and a picture, but what really matters is the songs.
was a carpenter?
What?? You cats don't like soda pops?
Do you really think you're getting a free pop now, you poor naive bastards?
I wonder how Dr Pepper is going to pussy out of this one. There's no way that they're giving away 300,000,000 drinks for free.
6, bitches!
"Electronic Renaissance" isn't one of my favorites. It really doesn't fit very well on the album and, taken on it's own, I just don't like it all that much. I'm more of an "Expectations" man myself, and by that I mean a pansy.
Meh
Tigermilk is good… Feist is attractive… Sufjan Stevens sure has some long song titles… Not a particularly inspiring random rules.
I also love this show. It's probably my favorite show on TV. I just wish sometimes they put all their weight into the more complex 'myths' that take a certain amount of thought, skill and nuance as opposed to the things that anyone can do, like the vodka myths and such, where all they have to do is a quick test and…
If you're only watching for the end, you're missing the point. Busting or confirming myths, as they say in the interview, are just gimmicks. As are the explosions that often characterize the end of an episode. At its best the show is about problem solving. For the type of people who love the show such as myself, it's…
I think we've been insulted
"Your basic Internet chat board is way too vitriolic"
No, I think I'd rather call him on the family telephone.
I'm not a huge fan of Rehearsing My Choir, but it's still a good record if your in the right state of mind to listen to it. Personally, I favor their pop side. The Fiery Furnaces have been one of my great musical disappointments of the last few years. They still make good records, but EP and Gallowsbird's Bark…
