The Fall
I have to somewhat sheepishly admit that I must not "get" The Fall. A lot of their stuff that I have is really amazing, particularly Hex Enduction Hour, but so many of their records I find to be very poorly recorded. For that reason, not Mark E Smith or the band, I find those records to be almost

Office
The Office spin-off should be just like the Office, except with, you know, British people. That show would be awesome. They could get that guy from Extras to be the boss.

Set the salmon free!

Meatspace???
How did I heretofore miss out on this sparkling new addition to the vernacular?

You know…
Looking at that picture, instead of making some tool gain 70 pounds, they could have given Leto's role to Judah Friedlander. That would have some definite potential for awesomeness.

Oh, Dr Pepper, you Poor Dumb Bastard
When you watch the news and people are talking about Chinese Democracy, this isn't what they're talking about.

Prefab Sprout
I've been wanting to check them out for a while. Tonight I feel somewhat inspired to do something about it. Any recommendations?

The intro, if we're defining it as the period before Isaac starts singing, actually takes just over two minutes. I'm not here to question a stranger's love-making abilities, but if that's what you consider foreplay…

As bee man points out, Isaac Hayes' version is made for loving. I'm all for concision, but there are some contexts where getting the job done in under 3 minutes is somewhat undesirable.

Perhaps someone who has seen him live will disagree, but to me the thought of Lou Reed playing live is exceedingly dull.

Walk on By
"Has there ever been a pop song that so perfectly melded form, content and presentation as "Walk On By?" I know what my answers would be. Yours may vary."

Brown Eyed Girl is far from my favorite song, but I have to disagree with Steve on this one. Just because the masses choose to ignore the substance of a song doesn't mean that the substance is ruined for the rest of us to appreciate.

Dr. Love
I think we can add "Dr. Love" to the ever-expanding list of reasons why Mike Love is a prick. Let's put it between using the Beach Boys name without the involvement of anyone named Wilson and "Student Demonstration Time".

Better than St. Elsewhere
I'd say the review is pretty much spot on.

C'mon
I know you're a busy guy and doing this twice a week like you used to would be too much, but how about doing MYOF twice a month. I don't think that would be excessive.

I get Trent Reznor's permission before I do anything. It's kind of a dom/sub thing and a real bugger when you have to pee and the phone's busy.

I thought Modell looked more like a bespectacled, less chunky Nick Frost.

Pardon me, I meant the second and third clips. I forgot about the one on top.

What a Wonderful Day
Only on a day when there is a walrus dancing to "Smooth Criminal" on Videocracy, would those first two clips not constitute the best thing I've seen today.

I see what you mean about the group as things stand in 2008, but in their prime, Crosby, Stills and Nash's (at least Crosby and Stills anyways) contributions to the group were in no way overshadowed by Young. If anything it was the other way around. Young contributed a couple excellent songs, but I wouldn't say that
