Regarding the third film, I believe this sounds like a job for Ratner.

@avclub-008bf13a8f7be64451ccbe21fb672c96:disqus Good call on mentioning Malcolm. I have given him a hard time about his strategic missteps this season, but the guy is the only other person having as much fun as Cochran. That has to count for something.
Cochran earning the respect of Probst is one of the most unexpected things ever on Survivor.
@avclub-858b67085072a6f2403cf500871f4068:disqus I think her moments of competency are what make her the perfect goat for Cochran. She is crazy enough that it will be hard for her to sell herself to a jury, but she is strategic enough to have a bond with him.
I do have to Malcolm credit for the spell he has on Reynold. If only it worked on more people he would be be Boston Rob.
@avclub-3d010f67a12c1fb88e0da25edd6e6ca2:disqus There would have been some risk involved for Malcolm, but it would have been a risk with real gain if he has set it up right. Right now, he has lived another week, but things are pretty grim. If he doesn't get immunity next week he is likely the one going home.
I stand corrected. I've only been watching this show for a few years, so some of the rules escape me sometimes. I thought we were far enough in for them to be a non-issue.
I'm all for misleading previews. I'll take them over ones that promise a shocking blindside I will never see coming.
Really, Erik only had to tell everyone why they should stick to the plan. Perception was all that mattered for flushing the idols. He has no real reason not to vote for Phillip. It may not have been the best idea to cast the vote in his signature style though.
@avclub-df1ccc80d7dc6b6c0eb5ba69bced9c8a:disqus The person to pick would have been Andrea. As we saw last week, she has total power to change people's votes at the last second just to save herself. Then Malcolm could have just sat on his idol.
Cochran's position looks pretty solid to me. Team Bro has to play all its idols tonight, so they are an easy target next week. At the same time, the gave the big alliance a scare, which makes them far less likely to turn on each other yet. Yeah, the promo had the quote of Sherri saying, "I you can't beat 'em, join…
Dawn did drag it down. Was it just me or were did they overdub her wailing a few times when she clearly wasn't? It seems to be the same sample being used a few times to make her sound even more unhinged.
That's pretty impressive work, Judge. Just a shame that Malcolm blew his awesome hand again this week. The right way to go would have been to announce Andrea was the target, not Phillip. Then when panic spread among his enemies, he could calmly suggest that if they all voted for Phillip, it would beat out the votes on…
I may not like those guys at all, but I really enjoy watching them. This is far preferable to them getting predictably bumped. Of course, Reynold is such a poor social player that he hasn't been able to use all these bonus rounds to win anybody over at all. And Malcolm is a turncoat, so it won't be easy for him. Eddie…
I don't buy that at all. I think Andrea was the boss all along. She was even the one who put together the vote against Francesca in episode one. And last episode, she had no trouble getting everyone to make a last minute dubious vote change just because she was nervous.
Yeah, @avclub-a1967e6de4ca99fb2635d94b99453928:disqus has that right of it. Phillip never dictated anything. Even going to back to voting out his nemesis, Phillip is just so delusional that every time the alliance shifted against his wishes, he pretended that was what he wanted anyway.
Yeah, I was amazed when Erik said that, as I has just said the same thing a moment before. Malcolm had given them no reason to vote for Phillip. If Malcolm was really smart, he would have gone after someone they didn't want to lose. Then he could have suggested that they vote Phillip of instead. Like all Malcolm plays…
I can understand being people being sensitive to humor given today's events, but if you wade deep into the comments on an article making fun of Fergie to plead for solemnity, you can go fuck yourself. You chose to be offended. If you actual care, go plan a candlelight vigil or something.
You loved Dawn's last season where her big move was to go down with Ozzy's ship? And seriously, do you really think she has a better chance getting to the end with Team Bro than with Andrea?
@JudgeReinhold:disqus It would have been masterful if Malcolm had decided this prior to the tribal, when he was the target, but he decided it based on things that happened after the target had shifted. A masterful play would have been telling him to give the idol to the right target and sending Andrea home. Instead,…
