Well, looking out for your own family isn't the opposite of selfishness and greed. It just means you have at least  minimal level of human decency. The Romneys and Bushes are all about looking after their family, but that doesn't make them paragons of virtue.

I always lose the 3-D effect over the course of a movie. Like you said, I assume my eyes just adjust to the optical illusion. It take me back to when I used to get high before movies and gradually came down before the end.

I would have said that about The Simpsons once upon a time.

@EvelKareebel:disqus I completely missed the Tyrell's presence, but it does make sense.  I was so surprised at Tywin being there that I didn't look at anybody else. Oh well. I'm okay with having an excuse to rewatch.

I think Afghamistan's opinion is easily dismissed by him thinking that scenes where Charles Dance merely talks and are a waste of time. He also describes the tense give and take in the scenes between Tywin and Arya as monologues. Apparently, this season would have been much better if he just kept his mouth shut and

@avclub-2b7cfd7706986f9e0f3e067df9705ba9:disqus I'm simply clarifying my objection to the review. I read reviews I disagree with frequently. I just felt this was incoherently written. The guy complains about how the episodes are too often fragmented on different plotlines. They he complains about how this one doesn't

The point is that Ryan decided to bring up his complaints about the disparate plot lines during an episode that concentrated entirely on one. You could argue that maybe he was pointing out that this single plot line episode contrasted with the more fragmented episodes. But then he also complained that this episode

I wasn't irritated by the grade he gave it, so much as the shallowness of his criticism. I often enjoy reading dissenting opinions.

@avclub-2ccc1af1e66514cff6168f147b185308:disqus I have no problem avoiding GoT spoilers myself. It's just a shame we have to read a review by someone who apparently doesn't. I was competely surprised we got an epic battle this week, rather than lamenting that is wasn't as epic as I had built it up in my mind. Pity we

I think everything bad in this review is summed up by this line: "
The impact of this battle affected those north of the wall or east of the narrow sea about as much as it seemingly impacted those inside the Holdfast. (Which is to say, barely at all.) "
