Raymond Cruz is now 54. I would love it if a 24- or 34-year-old Cruz could star in a Vince Giligan "Tuco" series that would chronicle the life of the character from young adulthood all the way until he's introduced in Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul.

Yeah, I kept thinking about Frank Miller during the movie. I suppose his version of Batman is so influential that DC cannot get away from it, but by adhering to it they get movies like this.

The guy playing Oswald really sticks out. I'm not sure what he's going for, but he doesn't sound much like those old film clips of Oswald, even though the rest of his performance is excellent.

That's what I thought.

I loved the book and I genuinely like the series, but man if I don't get distracted by things that just seem illogical. Would Sadie really have snitched on Jake to the principal, and do it that quickly? When Clayton hands Jake a glass of bleach, you immediately realize Clayton hasn't pondered whether that could

Just as last week, Jake creates his own troubles for himself when he doesn't have to do it that way. He goes into grim small town bars and either announces he has wads of cash to gamble or he's looking for the town's alpha bully. Painting a target on his jacket would be just as quick. Subtlety would serve him so much

I liked it. The writer is being a bit harsh.

I thought the episode seemed more like an installment of "The 60s: An NBC Mini-Series" than an actual Mad Men show. It starts with the Democratic National Convention and ends with Pete Campbell smoking a joint while crazy hippie music plays us out. The stuff in between wasn't much better. And Roger's hectoring

This show reminds me of the frustrating aimlessness of The Sarah Conner Chronicles, except that show didn't have Vera Farmiga to lighten things up.

Re: "Check out Moss in that scene where she finally gets some contributions from Abe about the apartment hunt. Her face goes through about 15 emotions in the space of five or six seconds."

I own that on VHS and we watch it fairly often during the holidays. Pre-retirement Magic Johnson, aka the most magnificent athlete of his generation, is also in this show.
