I have a problem with leveling 'the narrow-minded Academy voters' and 'the actors who had called for a boycott of the proceedings' as two sides, with the truth presumably being in between. I'm not sure if boycott is a good idea, but it surely is not as big of an exaggeration as racism.

I keep wondering why would the Russian intelligence not target Carrie's asset, instead of Carrie? if he had such pivotal information, she should never have heard of, why not killing him?

thanks for that. I really think avclub is not helping Ansari with those straight As when there's clearly so much wrong within this episode alone. The pace is extremely off (two retrospective stories one after another that are virtually carbon copy of one another?), the acting is horrible (I'm sure Ansari's parents are

oh I'd say the look Selina gives to Karen after the rant tops it. I'm gonna .gif it and watch it everytime I feel like I'm too happy with myself.

I couldn't help but laugh at this episode's representation of hacktivism and p2p movements, ended with a heartbroken face of a poor multimillionaire, tarnished by people sharing a movie (smart move: before it premiered). Another conservative move from GW (Diane could hardly argue with a pro-life multimillionaire last

I was disappointed by the way she wasn't really able to confront and counter his arguments though

about Claire's 'moment of truth' - didn't she basically admit worldwide that she ignored all the protocol, took the whole responsibility for Corrigan on herself, forced the guards off the cell (in a prison where he was treated considerably well), and negotiated him into suicide? Shouldn't she be in jail now or

not enough to hit torrents :(

Deserves to be mentioned: the last lines from the episode were the exact repeat of that scene: https://www.youtube.com/wat…
only they switched the roles

this episode was simply stunning? like srsly? the only stunning episode was #3, I'm starting to feel departed from the show after this one, the structure seems obvious, and I'm on the verge of giving up.

oh c'mon, it really doesn't. one of the reasons the final argument was so powerful, was that Shoshana finally spoke up. No one saw that coming, and Mamet did a great job. BB will always win such a contest hands down, because those 2 aren't even considered to be on an equal footing, but my vote goes to Girls on

i'm pretty sure 'echo' is not something Stan expects it to be, and the FBI probably already knows he must have been in contact with the KGB. it is hinted in the review too.

what i find hard to believe is that people don't seem to realize that south park didn't just randomly used a popular movie to satirize Martin's case. it actually satirizes the biopolitical premise of zombie-movies, especially World War Z. the ideology of Brad Pitt's movie is obviously derived from today's politics, so

i can't accept what's happening to Jesse up to the point that I really don't care for this character anymore. not that I thought there is any salvation for him, and yes, it is all well-justified, but his destruction is so calculated I lost all my love for him :(

barbie: i think we both know who you are
jim: what's that? a criminal?
barbie: worse. a POLITICIAN

can't believe people fell for this bullshit. pseudo art-house, boring, predictable flop. for such an over-psychologized series it has so many shallow, undeveloped characters (Fishbourne, and the main female character). hard to find a reason to follow the show when we know who is who from the very beginning, and the
