Watched the first couple week's of the Nightly Show, wasn't a big fan. Turned that slot from nightly viewing under Colbert to an easy pass. Much prefer to potential under Trevor Noah to the tried-and-true meh-ness of Wilmore

Bizarre news. I had figured production was already underway. Guess we won't be seeing season 2 for a while?

Think I'll give it a shot soon. Frankly, much more willing to start a show post-cancellation because I know exactly how long it'll be and how it's been received by critics. No indefinite commitment to a show that could go off the rails (e.g. Dexter)

Seems like critics didn't like it quite so much this year. Thus it's moved quite a ways down on my list of shows to watch. Because…eh

22 this season vs. 13, 10, and 8 for seasons 3, 2, and 1, respectively. Not sure if they'll break it up into two parts though which would at least take off some of that pressure and make it more like two separate seasons. We'll see.

Agreed. I definitely place some blame on the much larger episode order for this season. A shame to make them try to churn out so many more sketches at the cost of quality
