I was so goddamn happy that Rousseau showed up that I'll probably forgive anything bad about the show from here on out. She was one of the first weird mysteries of Lost and had an unbelievably sad backstory and an ignoble death.

But they are auctioning all the extra cool stuff. Are they that hard up for cash?

Is is normal to auction show stuff?
Especially such iconic items? You'd think they'd want to save them for a pop-culture museum or something.

I think technobabble about the way the wheel would work wouldn't have helped, but the water/light line was awkward. Luckily, Titus Welliver saying "Because I'm special!" made the scene.

It had a nice emotional effect as well.

She named him Better Jacob Who I Love More.

I love To Have and Have Not, especially Lauren Bacall's character. I've never managed to watch The Big Sleep, though clearly I need to get around to that.

I'm right there with Jason Heller - my parents loved Jimmy Buffett and for better or worse his music features in lot of my happiest childhood memories. No matter how godawful cheesy his act or his fans get, Buffett's always going to be cheery nostalgic music for me.

I loved seeing Sawyer slowly become a leader in his own right over seasons 4 and 5, from taking care of people during the mercenary attacks and the time skips, to peacefully assimilating along with Juliet, Miles and Daniel in the Dharma Initiative. He was actually in his element, and successfully being a good guy for

@ Richard Alpert's Eyelashes, I agree that something seems off about the character moments in this season. Sawyer talking about Juliet and Ben confessing to Ilana are the only two moments that have really felt up to the level of previous seasons.

The whole submarine scene was brutal. I hold out hope someone in-show will mention that Sayid and Lapidus died down there too, but considering Ilana's dead and forgotten already, it's not likely.

That's a nice summary of my feelings. I tuned in this season mainly because it has Mark Pellegrino and Titus Welliver, who are both awesome in to watch in Lost. I can handle some cheesiness, but that plus the backhanded sexism is embarrassing. I'm starting to suspect this is actually a terrible show.

Wow, ME writers really work on Supernatural? From what I've seen of the show, it can be entertaining but has about a 'Charmed' level of depth.

Well now I'm all self-conscious. No more laughing and sleeping for me!

I cracked up when they started walking in rhythm. It's like the kid was Jack's mini-me.

There's also the way Miles kept staring at Claire right after the house explosion. Sawyer interpreted it as Miles wanting to make a move, but in retrospect it seems likely that Mr. Talks to Dead People was getting a bad vibe from her.

They're in a public place, and Desmond has a Scottish accent and is very, very handsome. I admit that I'd probably ignore the initial misgivings and let him follow me through the building.

As does "Chesty", which I think was Sawyer's other nickname tonight.

One vote for "jablonie" 'cause that's what I always hear.

Oh what the hell, why was that so funny? I'm fighting tears here.
