Echo and the Bunnymen used to line up on the stage the same way in their early days. It really worked for them imho.

I saw them on the Monster tour. You can lose a little bit of your bitterness because it wasn't that good. Michael Stipe was very rock-starry…it kind of turned me off to them a little. You should be bitter about missing them on their Life's Rich Pageant tour though.

Having seen a ridiculous amount of live shows when I was younger, I've seen quite a lot of bands in my day. But I'd have to say the Beatles, Nirvana (not sure why I didn't see them), Sex Pistols and the Beastie Boys.
