I believe the writers have said that Grundy was supposed to take up most of the season for Archie but they abandoned the plot when test audiences didn't respond to it well. So Val was probably going to be a love interest eventually but just not as quickly as it happened.

I didn't realize she was getting a spin-off. Will it be like a more multi cultural A Different World (but you know if Lisa Bonet had stayed)?? I'll be looking forward to it. I can see Zoey choosing a good Southern California school (and definitely living on campus) and her reason for staying in state made sense.

I believe Betty was thinking of Jughead's dad as the 4th Musketeer since the next scene we get is of her inviting FP.

I really enjoyed Tyler and his character arc up until they decided to have Klaus as a point in a love triangle with Caroline….that's when he became less of a character and more of a prop for the writers to use when necessary.

And why didn't they just lock all 3 of them up after they incapacitated Sybil? Then they could take their time figuring out how to cut off her hold on them….

I was gonna say I'm just confused about why we are still revisiting "Can Damon be redeemed?" after 7 seasons of the same thing. But actually we can't really call it revisiting since we have never left this town called Damon's Salvation.

I buy my nephew kid's meals without him being there. Though I wouldn't be surprised if a franchised establishment made up a policy that didn't allow it.

ha just watched this tonight and I concur. What a fun movie with a really enjoyable cast (man Topher Grace really excels at characters you really want to see suffer). I haven't seen Still Alice or Cake Eaters but Kristen Stewart brought me around with Clouds of Sils Maria.

Man, that PD finale was such utter nonsense, it was hard to believe we were still watching the same show.

Or how a seemingly smart man would pursue a woman who's age would definitely put her at a disadvantage of having a baby, when he wants to definitely have a baby???

Agreed, except I do like Jay, less when he's on his extreme high horse (which Rachel can do to) but when they write him as being a friend to Rachel and someone who also would love to have a successful career and how sometimes that can conflict with his black identity.

Right, if it was gonna come to this what was the point of making Jeremy so disgusting in S2 instead of his usual brand of just the worst? It probably would have made more sense to have Adam stick around and prove to Rachel he would do anything to get another chance with her than Jeremy. Not only does he have the money

I just rewatched a few episodes of S1 before the the S2 finale and you are absolutely right. The show's S2 tone is so wildly aggressive and off putting compared to S1, it's jarring.

I recently rewatched S1 and on second viewing it's actually even more unbelievable that either Quinn or Rachel would actually bring an abusive ex-husband on the show given their own pasts and mental health history. An asshole ex-boyfriend sure, but someone who broke his own child's arm and hit his wife? And actually

They definitely should have left the Mary storyline in S1. That episode and plot was a misstep in itself. I do know there's at least one Bachelor contestant who's committed suicide post show and I think that would have been interesting for Unreal to explore. They could have done that simply by having a depressed

I agree on Quinn's pep talk to Rachel. Rachel is far from perfect and so Quinn's absolute sincerity shows just how messed up she is as well.

finally some good news from the pile of my favorite shows with terrible names :::: dries tears over the remains of Selfie ::::

This series is a nod to 80s movies, including angry teen fighting and ineffectual authority figures. To me Steve needed his ass kicked (and I like Steve) and Jonathan needed to feel like he was able to take control and fight.

I didn't view it as him slut shaming his former partners so much as calling Nancy out by finishing her thought.

Yeah the teenage stuff I actually like because Nancy is presented as having actual desires that have nothing to do with being with a "cooler" crowd that seems like she's only barely tolerating being around. She's exploring her limits like a lot of teenagers with cheap beer and awkward hook ups but in a way that seems
