This pun thread is all wobbly, but omelet y'all finish.
This is definitely how I feel about the trilogy. I was struck by how sad Pegg's character really is here, and how much I liked him despite him being a total jerkoff (which is the point, really). And his relationship problems are not really subtext, they're front and center for the whole film — he's trying to recreate…
Punch. That. SHIT!
Hey there, welcome!
According to the Elementary writers' live-tweet, the opening scene was part of a case idea they had but couldn't develop enough for an episode. I love its use as an opening — it both expands the "world" of the show and just lets us look at our two beautiful leads in purty clothes.

It's practically magic!
That's probably true. And just like that I'm sad again.
Christ, the more I read the Chosen Winners on that list, the more my soul died.
You try to attend hot yoga class on a heavy flow day with a measly Colt. Smith & Wesson's the only brand for me!
In my head, Tommy Lee Jones was narrating the last 5 paragraphs. Damn near brought a tear to my eye.
HE JUST LOVES HIM SOOO MUCH
