Oh, I'd never read that one — according to the plot summary on Wikipedia, they sound pretty damn similar, maybe even linked? "There Will Come Soft Rains" shows an automated house carrying on after the residents have, er, departed.

You sons of bitches WHAT DID I JUST WATCH

The last time for me: Jack Donaghy as Harriet Tubman. RIP 30 Rock.

Or The Mob City Doctor.

Still the best. I really miss the gang on my TV screen.

Bradbury's story "There Will Come Soft Rains" will always be my go-to for a computerized house, whippersnappers.

His curled-lip sneer when Jake blocked his police car was pretty scary, too!

Agree. His increasingly gleeful reactions when he heard how much control he would have over Holt tickled me.

OK, but what about Long Island Iced Panties?

I'll second that — Gwen's reviews have been delightful.

I have, and it's astounding how unlikable his character is (for all of the five minutes that he showed up last season, shame). That said, the Chris Messina Smirk should NEVER be used for evil.

You'll be back on the force in no time! We're all rooting for you.

Thanks for breaking it down. I'm with @avclub-394dc8be941678fb1dcfc647005e6af6:disqus — and the memory of Ben and Kate's fate still hurts.

I'll miss the hell out of this show if it goes away. The jokes land, the writing is sharp, and the cast is a delight. I agree that it's never had substantial direction or focus, but it has consistently cracked me up. Tonight was probably the best yet.

Ever. Ever. Ever.

I burst out laughing when he pushed Mindy away and told her to "go take a nap or something."

Nicely said. I'm sorry for your troubles — hope things start looking up however they can.

Nice — from the bathroom beatdown, right? That was a great one. One of the best Elizabeth Kicks Ass moments.

If it's revealed that she's dating the Vulture and his gorgeous throat I'll DIE.

So sweet. I loved seeing them all gathered around the nurses' station, waiting to hear how he was. Of course they heard he was fine, but that swift glimpse was touching.
