Ooh I forgot when he faked his death. That was great.
Ooh I forgot when he faked his death. That was great.
Off the top of my head: Chang as a delusional detective, Chang hiding on a bookcase, Chang saying "GAYYY," Chang saying "Ugh, you're the worst," and Chang saying "F, F minus."
Can I just say I recently finished watching Freaks and Geeks and your name is amazing.
Agreed with Lt. Broccoli on that being the joke.
Yeah the tag does not bode well for the rest of the season, but it did cause me to shout "CITY COLLEGE HOLY CRAP" at my TV screen. I mean, I should have known Chang would go back to conspiracies, but I was surprised and impressed the writers actually remembered where he'd been left at the end of last season.
I honestly wasn't enjoying the episode at all until Jeff chewed out his father and finally revealed many of his insecurities in the process. The texting bit was amazing, and I was surprised at how dark they went, what with Jeff hurting himself for attention (does he have Münchausen syndrome)?
Leonard was the Creed of Community—old, creepy, and always well-written—until this episode.
"It was a reference to Nazi Germany or any other war, once they went to war, they really couldn't be friends and Abed felt guilty for not supporting his friend."
It was the funniest moment of the premiere (which shows how unfunny the premiere is). It was just so delightfully stupid. Then of course they ran it into the ground immediately in this episode.
Yay another fan of that episode!
Bleh Todd plot? The scene where he loses it one of my all-time favorite Community scenes.
Environmental Science (Season 1 Episode 10) is why Community used to be great in a nutshell for me. Just the absolute perfect blend of heart and humor (I'm thinking of Toy and Abed's "Somewhere Out There" duet). That and when they all start dancing after Jeff leaves in Remedial Chaos Theory and the brilliant closing…
I watched all of The Office Season 8 and Downton Abbey Season 4, so my declination tolerance has no limits.
I prefer Competitive Ecology by a wide margin.
The only time I liked it was in paradigms of human memory because he used hilariously stupid excuses to dress up. Now he just uses stupid excuses.
What, "This whole time we thought the Germans were the Germans, but it turns out… we were the Germans," was too on the nose for you?
So you're saying it's Community run through the worst filter?
Spoiler: come back he does, and if the previews are any indication it's one of the most promising storylines of the season so far.
I just noticed in the second episode of the entire series, Spanish 201, this message is written on the blackboard in the study room: "You may not use this room without prior approval from the front desk!" Funny.
At least Michael K. Williams had the LEGO bit.
