Hideously Useless

Prolonging the Magic is singlehandedly responsible for my interest in any music made after 1986. True story.

Oh my god, I was in love with the Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon. Time to speed, keeeeed.

Claire, now I gotta wonder if you were on the AOL X-Files boards at all… I hung out on the Welcome Board all the time.

I really enjoyed Aurora Boreanaz.
But this Family Guy was pretty weak. I generally hate Christmas/Christmas specials, but that doesn't mean I don't try to enjoy them, but this was just boring and laughless.

Well, alright.
I'd buy that for 3.99.

I hate it when ads make a show look way worse than it does, OR just totally misrepresent it. Poor Terriers suffered from both.

Two things:
1) Busy Phillips in that sparkly silver dress? Oooh LORD.
2) One year, my parents inexplicably put on the City of Angels soundtrack during our turkey dinner. I charmed the family with my rendition of Paula Cole's "Feelin' Love", which I altered to be about Thanksgiving. "You make me wanna eat pie, pie, pie,

Favorite line:
"The time is now… Tetris?"

I played the hell out of Spot Goes to Hollywood on Sega Genesis and often resorted to playing The Noid at my orthodontist while waiting for excruiating tooth pain… I could make some joke about how that was better than a game about a pizza mascot, but I honestly don't remember it well enough to do so.

Busy Phillips is beautiful
So why pick such an unflattering promo photo of her for this episode's header? Yikes.

Hamburglar, I was going to say that makes me feel better about my choices in life, but then I realized that's way better than my situation. So, you win.

Next time my husband asks what time it is, I'm going to accusingly shout, "PIZZA!" and he will laugh, because we already have a joke about accusingly shouting the word "pizza". Seriously.

So nobody's mentioned…
…the best exchange in "Tunguska"?

That's how I know him, too! I grew up watching The Commish (and not really… understanding it, because I was between the ages of 5 and 10 when it was on.)

Is that really out of context, though? I mean… liking Kyoto Animation for what they do is pretty in context.

I'm glad someone brought up Pete & Pete.

Yo, a Gatsby reference?
This must be "nod appreciatively to things Useless loves" day.

I'm Barry Bostwick!
Does anyone else remember that Pepsi commercial? I would laugh every time. I would have much rather watched that commercial for 30 minutes straight rather than this episode.

But that's not Amber Rose.

bondfool - Oh, god, that was good. I appreciate that. What is that, "Life as Kanye"?
