The film doesn't delve into why Meyers kills people because a) it's scary if he seems to be an inhuman killing machine and a mysterious cypher; and b) it also shows things that frighten people can cause them to overreact and reject their better judgement and humanity. It's easier for Loomis to say "he's evil" than to

Does he live underwater? Is he black?

And in the end it's revealed that the Simon of the title is Simon Cowell who goes on to critique all the kills. "I cannot believe the hamhanded and downright boring why you killed that man. Death obviously means very little to you and you will go nowhere in this murder business because you obviously lack the artistry

Read the coupon again: It doesn't say FREE ANGELA, it says FREE ANGINA.

Awesome, thanks! Will have to check this out.

Oddly enough, the best replacement (imo) was Kevin Smith.

This is the first I've even heard of this new iteration. I loved Scooby Doo as a kid, but the later stuff bugged me like crazy, not just b/c it's so awful but b/c there's actual ghosts, witch craft and all that, instead of being about teenagers uncovering people trying to scare people into thinking such things

If you're a hippie past, say, '72 or so, then you deserve to have it used as a pejorative. I won't say there wasn't a damn good reason to be a hippie in the sixties, but now  you have a lot more choices. You don't need to rebel against society quite so hard, maaaan.

It's funny b/c all thru reading Marah's post about Meyers, I kept disagreeing in my head. I think he's an awful Weekend Update host, smug and constantly laughing/smirking at his own terrible jokes. He's not even that good at telling a joke. He either rushes to the punchline or stumbles around trying to get to it. And

I really can't believe there are so many people on here defending THE FUCKIN SPIN DOCTORS. Are you guys just pretending to like kitsch b/c it's so hilarious or something? This band is godawful and a joke. I'm really surprised to see so many on the defensive of some seriously indefensible crap.

Don't forget the Elvis-Gets-Whipped scene! Oh lordy…

Manson was great back when he was stealing from Pink Floyd and NIN in equal measure.

Hey big Duke Wayne, I heard you were lookin' for us MDC boys!

If we get a write-up on how awesome Whale was next, I'm calling shenanigans!

MDC, 91 or 92. In support of their "Hey Cop, If I Had A Face Like Yours…" album.

Yeah, the thing is, when I got into thrash, I wasn't a very discerning person (I was twelve, maybe younger - I got Ride the Lightening when it came out). These days I can admit to what's awesome and what sucks (speaking of Ride, I almost never listen to side two of that one). So a critical appraisal of some of the

This would have made for a great Primer, but there's not enough room in a GtG to do the subject justice. This feels like it's missing a page.

Fred's a real good name for a rock star.
