True enough. I was just thankful that they didn't have Richard sprawled out in a crucifixion pose. Like I said: a bit of variety is nice in your martyrdom symbolism.

That seems like a fair assessment (and you don't have to sell me on Hotspur - as an American Tottenham fan, I'm all in on him). Though I think Richard gains greatly from having only one part… the Henrys can sometimes meander. Again: big fan of Henry IV. I just think there are other cases to be made for greatest

Ummm… I don't know what your metric to determine "clearly regarded" is, but it's been my experience that Richard III is by far more-produced than Henry IV, and its evocative characterization of Gloucester ranks up with the most sought-after roles for actors in the tragedies like Hamlet and Lear. Thank you for covering this Todd! I really have very little to say, other than that I evangelize for this show at every opportunity. It's so so good. I'm honestly just commenting because I want to up the level of activity on this review, thereby encouraging your going out on a limb to cover this show.

Found myself thinking the exact same re: Jenna in this episode. I literally mused out loud to myself, "Wow, Jenna's mean tonight!" Like Myles, I was obscurely gladdened by this realization. It made me really happy that the show trusted the character (and the audience) enough to let her be mean in the Valentine's Day
