I really love Sally Draper's "I just saw a blowjob" face.

I tried to get my brother into this show recently and I picked "The Phantom of the Telethon," which seemed to me like a solid episode that would show the the strangeness of the series without being too weird for him to get into. He said he could see what it was trying to do but didn't really care for it, and since…

So I loved the last AD episode to pieces, but this one seemed a bit off in a way that I can't quite put my finger on.

I don't dislike Brosnan, and he WAS Bond during my formative years of fandom, so I will always have a soft spot for him (and Moore, who was my favorite as a kid, probably because his movies are basically comedies). My theory is that there are two kinds of Bonds: tough guys (Craig, Dalton) who are convincing as…

Yeah, Rabin's critiques are a bit funny but sort of unfair. Also, isn't it a rule that whenever a former SNL superstar puts out a lackluster product, the reviewer has to do some hand-wringing about what a comedic genius said superstar once was before writing how sad it is that he/she is now selling out and making shit?

I feel like I'm usually pretty good at guessing a movie's AVClub rating based on the trailer, but I had this thing pegged for a solid C-, or maybe even a C or C+ if it was better than expected. The D- comes as a bit of a surprise. I guess today's the day my dream of becoming an AVC odds maker dies.

Thanks!
Thanks!
It was considerate of them to make sure that the large quality gap between Goldeneye and The World Is Not Enough was as noticeable in the games as it was in the actual movies. That's some real fidelity to the source material.

Not sure if this counts as "pop" culture, but I went to see the Dayton Ballet's staging of The Nutcracker, which has been kind of a yearly tradition for my family, and this was the first year they actually had a live orchestra instead of pre-recorded music, which made it infinitely better.

Nice job, Grover!
Nice job, Grover!
She did not, nor does she have one now. So, you know, what's the big deal?
