The monster's a little disappointing, maybe, but at least he's not ridiculous. He's just a big creepy dude in a jumpsuit, but at least he doesn't look like one of those goofy carrot creatures from Lost in Space. You're not going to burst out laughing when he pops in.

Oh god, Hawks. I don't think that Sergeant York has aged too well, but it's a fine film. Rio Lobo isn't very good, but by the time you've done that same story for the third time it's inevitably going to suffer — I still love El Dorado. Even his weakest films are better than 99.99% of all etc.

Take that Dr. T. J. Eckleburg!!!
Pretty awesome. Really, really easy, of course, but I would love it if this could be stuffed into a cartridge somehow. The ending is already amongst the top ten of NES games.

False Face is the original forties Basil Karlo Clayface, back when he was just a master of disguise instead of a freaky amorphous monster.

Fuckin' linebreak limits.

Documentary - Morgue!
"We're gonna shoot a movie," said Keith. Keith laughed.

Hell yeah.

Marge: I haven't been in a play since high school, and I thought it would be a good chance to meet some other adults.

And also a tin teardrop, from me.

Could be worse: I HAVE heard of most of these bands, and so I know that most of them are boring as shit.

Maybe Arnold will play her dad again.

Who's up for a game of Calvinball?

Surprisingly, I really loved Amazing Spider-Man # 648, a fairly straightforward superhero tale so energetic and packed with incident that it managed to recapture the feeling I had reading comics as a kid. Best of all, it seemed totally free from the incubus of decompression, which has plagued mainstream comics for the

I liked Superboy okay. The preview in the back had some cool-looking retro stuff. It seems like like good old-fashioned superhero comics, and those are the ones I like. I'll buy at least the next issue. Although I wish they'd give him a frickn costume already; I don't have a lot of confidence in a dude who fights
