I love the bosses in that game, especially Raphael the Raven and the very last boss, you know who. Maybe my favorite last boss ever.

"I used to keep it on MTV all the time in case they played the Beastie Boys' Intergalactic video. "
Oh! Oh! I love "Gumby's Summer Fun Special," with art by Art Adams, so much that I've decided to buy one for all my friends.
The "Freebird" bit would have been beautiful…
…if Ferrell hadn't been there. Which pretty much describes everything I've ever seen involving him, but whatever.
There's something about Fox's action heroines…
…and the receiving of a painful spinal tap that really brings out the kickass.
It must be incredibly good if E.T. hates it. I look forward to seeing it.
You can always tell a Milford man.
Lists are fun
1. Gerry/Elephant/Last Days (I'm not going to break them up)
2. A.I.
3. Russian Ark (I didn't see many non-English films this decade, but this is the only one I saw I would support)
4. Gosford Park
5. Before Sunset
6. The Life Aquatic (funnier and more colorful than Royal Tenenbaums; otherwise the same film)
7…
Now they know…
…how many A-holes it takes to fill the Albert Hall.
Wait… when the hell were Weezer a "challenging" band?
Wait…
…you mean Edan has a new album out!? Why wasn't I informed!!?? I love that guy. "Beauty and the Beat" is one of the tightest, most chaffless hip hop records of this whole decade, not to mention one of the most fun, and it doesn't get anywhere near enough respect, except from Nathan. Go Nathan.
I suppose all you really need now is a good greatest hits collection, like Endless Summer, and Smiley Smile. If you are fond of their earlier period, then you want to find the Today!/Sumer Days (and Summer Nights!!) comp CD. Today! is probably the best early album, before they got crazy. But I maintain that Smiley…
Smiley Smile
Hell, every song on Smiley Smile is completely bizarre. Like "Little Pad" which starts off as some stoned-out sophomoric ditty and somehow turns drop-dead gorgeous a few seconds later. And "She's Goin' Bald" veers between goofy to this vaguely creepy helium-huffing thing, to goofy again, and ends up with…
I couldn't finish it… which is really sad considering you could read all 500+ pages in like 2 hours.
Perhaps you should provide your own list.
Was that Chameleon story from Webspinners this decade? I like some of Paul Jenkin's one-offs from Peter Parker. And the Brand New Day stuff has been surprisingly good, or at least the Dan Slott stuff has been.
Will Eisner's The Name of the Game
Also: Scalped, LXG Volume 2, Ennis's Punisher, Dork!, Tricked > BOP, Busiek's Conan or Astro City or Arrowsmith maybe, etc.
It was all published in Acme Novelty Library and is mentioned in the piece on that. That said, you're right: Jimmy Corrigan is the great American graphic novel.
Perfect Dark for the N64
I believe this is the only videogame I have played from this decade, but it is awesome. Did Majora's Mask come out post-1999? That was pretty good too. My local used game store has a copy of Conker's Bad Fur Day that I wouldn't mind having, but they are selling it for $40, so I'll stick with…
Super Mario Bros. 3 is the CK of videogames. SMB 1 is the Birth of a Nation.
