Correction?
I'm no newsman, but I don't think Golden Phoenix is the same project as Iron Fists. From what I understand, this is just something that RZA has been working on for years. The original trailer was posted on youtube back in 2009.

I think the collected version is superior to the original tabloids, even as an event. I have it and find it much easier to read the print on the glossy paper, making even the Wonder Woman story a lot less daunting. Also, while Kamandi looked great on newspaper, it looks just stellar in the compilation, with lots of

But actually reading the comics is a good way to learn how to spell "asylum." So there's that.

I got the impression that it was like they were waking up from a dream, or at least realizing that they were dreaming. I have good dreams where I meet dead relatives or repair broken friendships or whatever fairly often. But as good and vivid as they can be, I am not traumatized every morning when the alarm goes

Well, there was some intentional misleading, yeah. We were obviously meant to believe that the lives of our castaways would have been far better without Jacob's meddling, with the reversal being that Jacob was responsible for the most defining (best? character building?) parts of their lives. Their best of all

Well, RZA could actually identify the different actors, pointing out the occasional cameo and future star. At one point, the other guy pretty much admitted that all Asian faces look the same to him.

"I will never understand why people watch animated films. Seriously, this is up there with facial tattoos and amputee fetishism in the "stuff that people do that I just cannot possibly fathom" category. "

i and 1, I think you mean Forbidden Kingdom, which is definitely goofy fun. Iron Monkey was early 90's with Donnie Yen, also great.

Herzog and dick-riding Obama were a nice treat, yeah. It had some good gags, but the show has been capable of much more in the past.

You know, I'm pretty sure I've seen every Boondocks episode to date
Man, I'd forgotten how vicious Boondocks could be. But I think this episode was really lashing out in full force because there's the fear that it wouldn't be relevant post-black president. After all, a lot of the show has been Huey/McGruder wondering

Oh, hey, Jeff Bridges at 5:30.

Nah, I caught some chicks slicing up Romans in that opening massacre. I wouldn't have mentioned it if I wasn't sure.

I think this film has its sympathies misplaced
I'm supposed to root for a bunch of sweaty Roman conquerors with English accents over a guerrilla army made up of hot warrior babes? I don't know about that, movie. Doomsday was fun, though.

I just saw American Beauty a couple months back and it did not leave much of an impression.

Those 80's cartoons I watched as a kid
Seeing clips of them on Youtube is incredibly painful. What was wrong with me?!

Big Fish is my favorite Tim Burton film, by far.

Why would he pay taxes? The Superman persona isn't even a resident of the United States—he lives in the North Pole or something.
