I read an interview once where George said that when he wrote "My Sweet Lord" he was knowingly copying, "Oh Happy Day" by the Edwin Hawkins Singers, not "She's So Fine".  He said that if anyone should have sued him it should've been the Edwin Hawkins Singers.
