You are not alone. Mayhem is why I'm watching this show.

I don't think it's a huge downgrade. Whoever killed Nate was (almost certainly) aiming for Anson who was the mastermind behind the whole burned spy organization. I'm sure finding whoever had motive to shut him down will start a whole new conspiracy arc.

I also fall into the disliking Nina camp in part because despite growing poor she has a spoiled little rich girl vibe as a result of her power that's just off putting. I do like that she was the only member of the team consistently questioning Rosen's complicity with shipping "misbehaving" alphas off to Binghamton.…

I really want to at least like this show because it's Roslin, but the awfulness of the Raydor character (and this premiere generally) is so far outweighing the awesomeness of BSG. 3 eps is probably my outer limit.

I had the same thought. It's just the same show with a different lead which other shows do without bothering to form a "new" show. I guess since Brenda was officially "the closer" they couldn't keep the title, hence all this talk of Major Crimes as spin-off or sequel.

To really follow suit it should be called The Plea Bargainer or The Settler.

I also hated the law suit storyline but mostly because I hate when shows decide to add tension/drama/complexity/whatever by attacking their lead for the very qualities that make the lead compelling in the first place. Sucks the fun out of it for me and honestly is why I was ready for the show to be over. This happened…

Such a good point. I was so ready to be annoyed at a Brenda-Fritz-Pope triangle and was pleasantly surprised when it never materialized.
