Is there an A.A. Dowd review of Super 8 foating aroun on the web somewhere?  Both here and in the main review, he referred to Super 8 as cynical.  I'm curious as to why, as that is just about the last word I would use to describe it.

According to Imdb, the guy who played Fake Moby in this episode (credited as Faux-by) was also the fake Moby from How I Met Your Mother.  I suspected as much first watching the episode as well.

Good comparison with the Peacock Family.  I instantly thought of them, as well as the Bennett Family from Justified.

No Neutral Milk Hotel?

This is a show that definitely benefits from watching it in as dark and scary environment as possible.  Stuff that I would have scoffed or laughed at in the daytime with the lights on worked really well as being utterly terrifying at midnight alone in a darkened apartment.
