Agreed, Jennifer Lawrence work as Katniss was great and it showed Hollywood that it's false that people won't go to see an action film with a female lead.

I started reading them since I saw that Todd gave it an A- to Mockingjay on this site, and I must say that it turned out to be my favorite too. It has the potential to be a great film about war (The consequences/ The stakes/ The Loss) but splitting it into two films is a terrible idea.

Yes, the 3D is excellent and the effects are so much better, with Raimi's films the minute Maguire used the mask he dissapear into the CGI spidey. Here they went on a more grounded work with cables, wires, and Garfield's background in gymnastics really help to make it look "anatomically possible" (?). The only thing…

Me too, I feel like I'm on bizarro world because I was actually happy to see that the band sounds live just as great as they do on the album.
Ben Wyatt is my current nerd-girl's dream, but during my teen years my crush was Seth Cohen all the way!
Thanks for your answer Noel. I'm sure there are no heavyweight auteurs but I thought the foreign newcomers would get a bit of attention. I read an article in a argentinian website where the author expressed his dissapoinment with the lack of coverage compare to the one received by the films of "local" newcomers, and…
This year the coverage for the 'World Cinema' movies has been very low. I've seen many websites with their list of "Sundance's Best" and almost no foreign films are included. Was it that the quality declined? or was it the schedule? Anyway, I think it's very unfortunate because filmmakers from different countries go…
Every time I hear this cover I just can't stop thinking about the awesome Dragon Tattoo's credits sequence. One of the best moments in my movie-going experience of 2011.
the overall score is great, but the opening credits sequence with that badass cover is AMAZING!
Koski lists are great, thanks to her I found out about (and now love) Ida Maria.
I really like Arctic Monkeys and Alex Turner's Submarine soundtrack as well.
Also missing: The Rapture - In The Grace of Your Love.
Romola Garai is amazing: I loved all of Bel's glances towards Freddy (Jealousy/Love/Admiration) and the scene where she's tearing up from joy while watching the program, realizing that that was the moment they were all searching for? Perfection.
"I've had good times with some bad guys" Cheerleader is the best.
I loved that scene between Bel and Freddy talking about their lives together, it was all kinds of lovely and sad. Great acting from Wishaw and Garai.
This is one of those albums that I can listen from start to finish. Every single track delivers something really great. Love it.
I also rewatched the episodes and for me Leslie and Officer Dave were very sweet but I don't see the GREAT chemistry that everybody seems to be all nostalgic about. I really like the way they handled the Leslie-Ben Storyline because you can see when his admiration for her became something more and I founded it very…
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs's Heads Will Roll is on the album…
Jeff Bridges. True Grit. If Tom Hanks did it (Philadelphia '93, Forrest '94) so can The Dude.
