For whatever reason, the hardest part for me was Rob holding her, trying to get her attention, but her face was a sickly grey and she just stared off into space. Didn't even give them one last eye-lock. =/

@avclub-5a7afa22e23fd0a97a9ace0c1d5f8928:disqus Meh, that entire post of Tim O'Neil is predicated on an unsupported position: that people aren't good in a crisis. I don't believe that for one second. If that were true, the human race would have been wiped out long before we figured out agriculture, let alone were…

I agree with your points. If this had been a well-written show, it would have touched on some of those larger questions. Instead, it just seems to be a basic soap opera enhanced with supernatural creatures and lots of death.

Yeah, when Sookie was warned that the elder would shift in and out of forms, I was really expecting a special effects parade. All we got was a very pathetic idea of what "weird" is.

I've gotta say I was pretty thrilled with the General's whole speech to the vamps. I was like, FINALLY someone's making some sense. There's no way that human governments wouldn't develop contingency plans on dealing with vamps, and there's no way there are enough vamps to stand up to the combined might of humanity.

My interpretation of Eric snapping the general's neck was twofold: 1) for expediency so that he and Nora could get out of there ASAP, and 2) to spare the guy getting brutally murdered by the rest of the chancellors. It struck me as something of a sign of respect to kill the guy instantly.

I assumed that Britta actually DID read the X-men comics for a bit, and really liked X-man, except that anyone who's a real comic book geek would NEVER pick X-man as their favorite. Once again proving that Britta can Britta anything, even when she's actually trying.
