What she is claiming Daniels said to her seems to suggest she's jut asking for way too much money to be in one of his movies. And nobody else seems all that interested in hiring.

I'm in the same boat. Midnight Cowboy is fantastic.

I love me some Chaykin too, but I don't think there's a Jazz saxophone playing Jew alive with a lantern jaw big enough to play a Chaykin hero. Now kinda thick slutty looking blondes with huge boobs, we can find those to fill out the female roles.

Or John Carter. Flying ships and cute alien damsels to be rescued!

After reading all the Starlin Thanos stuff, I was planning on reading Dreadstar next.

You think 10 year olds did? 16-20 year olds maybe, but ten year olds? At that age you like what is there, and have no idea how to find anything else. And Guns n Roses was everywhere. And somehow Poison was even more places.

We had this whole radio and MTV thing going on back then. And what was on the radio and all over MTV was mostly hair metal at the time. And Guns N Roses, Tesla, Ratt, Wasp, the first two Motle Crue albums and the occasional Ozzy tune was about as hard rock as it got. If there was a college rock or hip-hop station

He also made The Juggernaut a good guy who spent quality time with bullied children. Like a big brother program, except with a fish faced little brother and a hardened criminal big brother. And then he had Juggernaut have sex with She-Hulk. Because whenever hack comic book writers get bored they have someone have sex

Mutants don't get aids.* They get the Legacy Virus.

That explains why that wounded veteran was covered in his own feces and had his hair all matted together while sitting in that cage covered in flies somewhere in Africa while Sarah Mclachlan sang that song.

This is on TV every St Paddy's day in the Boston area. So I've only seen it a few dozen times. And every time I catch it flipping through the channels, I stop and watch it until the end. Just great entertainment. And yeah the crush on Maureen O'Hara has something to do with that.

Ok.

He believes it is absurd that it won. Which, when compared to the history of the Oscars, seems a silly and hard to defend statement.

It has everything to do with the statement in the article. These movies are not being compared in a vacuum. They are being compared as prospective Oscar winners. If the article was titled "Movies we like better than Oscar winners in those Oscar years", then the point of the article would be what you are saying it

Yeah, that got a big old "Does not compute" from me too. But I guess they have hating Jews in common right? If you're loony enough to be a British neo-Nazi, I don't know enough about how you're mind works to say that jump was inconsistent with your prior logic or not.

Why do you find it absurd? The Oscars were invented to get Hollywood stars together and give them awards to increase the profile of the stars and the movies. It's nothing but PR. It was not created to select the most artistically successful movies. And Cannes was created to do the same thing for Europe, and low and

The statement was that it was "absurd" that this movie lost out to The Sting. Where as I think that it should be "completely expected" that the The Sting would win. The Sting is exactly the sort of movie which wins Oscars.

So a foreign movie with a death/mortality theme, a family with servants, someone dying of cancer, and self-mutilation lost out to a fun, lightweight movie that was one of the top ten box office movies ever at the time, filled with stars, including two of the biggest iconic stars at that time (or any), reuniting with

Patton Oswalt is perfect for MODOK. Too bad he's already cast on the show.

The X-men comics do have more gay characters than most, but they've all been supporting characters, and mostly the story lines involving them being gay have been in second tier comics. No original X-men, no Giant-sized issue new team members. Mystique and Destiny are probably the only core characters in the main
