The shapeshifter is one of the coolest villains yet. I really hope this isn't the last time it's seen either.

Think it was also mentioned that Hirsch originally envisioned the show to have three seasons, one for the beginning, middle, and end he mentioned. But it seems he has since reconsidered that vision, so I'm just worried season 2 might be written as the "last" season, or like he mentioned on a reddit Q&A one time, two

GotG. I had a blast in the movie and laughed a lot, but think that the Winter Soldier was the better Marvel film this year. Lot of nitpicky stuff I remembered the first time around still stuck with me when I watched it the second time. But I still had a lot of fun.

This is a shoutout to all the day one Gravity Falls fans.

It's a shame I could not find a single thing on this Key Vigenère person.

Thought the official word was that they didn't know at the start of getting book 2, but I dunno when they found out about Books 3/4, even if it's just an unofficial matter.

Different feel? Admittedly, I don't follow any shows covered here that are uploaded weekly on Netflix or somewhere else online, but I feel like having a scheduled slot on tv allowed for a more universal feeling of when the majority of people will see the show, while having to watch it online anyways gives a more

I'm more curious about what the 9 marks meant on his wall. Was it a background clue left by the show or was it done by Gideon? And if it's the latter, why would Gideon have done that?

I heard the song's supposed to be parodying Living on a Prayer, which I didn't get in the show. It's a song I haven't really listened to so I dunno if it's a more obscure song reference or not, or maybe I'm just misinformed about what the song's supposed to be a parody of.

That'd be fun. I've read Hirsch saying that part of the scheduling last season was due to him not meeting some deadlines, which is unfortunate.

Thinking about it, I'd be happy with the Korra reviews on the av club coming out Saturday mornings. With the show being online exclusively, a day seems like a good amount of time to accommodate and give people a chance to watch the episode at their own leisure.

I liked that the episode revealed that the Red Lotus seems to be able to go to the Spirit World and uses it as a way to communicate.

Yup, the concept of entropy. This post reminded me of a theory called the "Heat Death of the Universe".

That's the problem with radical ideas. They come from a good place, but implementation of these ideologies is often next to impossible.

Dumb move to reformat the site. It feels intentional that it occurred to match with the Korra premiere and probably done with good intentions in mind, but transitioning always sucks

Why do the cartoons I care about always go through such bad scheduling?

Hey, is the av club still going to cover Legend of Korra even though the episodes are just showing up online?

I really wanna try avoiding talking about the second episode until the review's up, but I will mention Gravity Falls got away with a suicide oath in one of their shorts.

Another thing I was really happy to see was Wendy being enthusiastic about working at the Shack. I could understand her appreciating it more given she almost had to move away thanks to Gideon taking over, and it's a pretty big change to her character even if it was just a tiny scene and it's just for a moment.

If I was a zombie, I would want to avoid karaoke if I could be killed by a three part harmony. Just sayin'
