Watching this episode at the tail end of a two-week carb fast made the whole bread B-story far too real for me.

I think I swiped left when the opportunity aroseā€¦ I'll have to die wondering what could've been now.

This show is such a breath of fresh air, just seeing a promo for it last week, months after I'd forgotten there was a 3rd season coming up got me excited for it - I ended up watching the second half of the season 2 again on iView (the Oz broadcaster's streaming service).

I was a little surprised to see the "Herself" credits at the end of the episode, but the more I thought about it, in hindisight if they were actors playing a Russian protest band, they would've been given a clever expy name like "Vag Force" or something.

I cringed when Patrick started forcing the karaoke sign-up sheet on everyone, because I know that's something I would totally do when hosting a fun gay party.

Even if the sudden homophobia was a little ham-fisted, is it still that difficult to believe a suburban dad character on a primetime sitcom could have this sort of reaction in 1997?

Did anyone else catch what April was eating at the start of the episode? I think it was half a cantaloupe, smothered in sugar and whatever was in her flask. I thought it was a great little gag because there she was just preparing her interesting lunch but no attention was ever brought onto it.

Shake harder, boy!

Lily's age is really inconsistent. Which is strange, because they've never made a noticeable mistake with the other four kids' ages.
