We seem to be obsessed with the moral sanctimony of these films?  While I agree that a lot of the time they try and throw in a 'violence is wrong, see?' moral at the end (or in the case of the Devils Rejects, build to it all along), their depiction of violence can be just as important for its existence.  Movies, like

I would argue that De La Rocha's lyrics are a lot more complicated than people give him credit for.  Especially on the 2nd and 3rd albums, songs like "Maria," "Revolver" and "Ashes in the Fall" are pretty subtle at times.  Maybe this is all relative, but I personally think by the time of Battle for LA the band had

I was realizing lately that there are a ton of bands on labels like Run For Cover, Topshelf, Deathwish, and No Sleep that are really blowing up in a lot of ways without support from a lot of the big indie press sites (P4K, tiny mix tapes, etc).  Glad to see AV Club is pitching in with Early Graves and especially Code

I've personally always preferred the 'Rear View Mirror' version, which has another guitar and a fiddle on it.  In my opinion it highlights the melody really well.
