Two of my favorite moments in season two in this episode: Arya's second kill as pitch black slapstick; and Jon Snow's uncomfortable subzero spoon cherry getting popped.

Other than Allison Williams not being able to fake crying any better than my four year old when he's trying to get extra ice cream, this was a pretty flawless episode. I like Todd's take: the bare-bones plots of 'Girls' are fairly familiar, but the show passes through the beats of those plots with such closely

I can see that. I can see her character eventually growing on me and (in my view) integrating a bit more with the other characters (she can't stay so mannered and naive for THAT long, can she?). Shoshanna/Jessa is a good dynamic. She did have a good bit in the yes/no/yes/spooky dialogue at the clinic.

Pretty solid pilot. It's basically a more realistic "West Wing." Fascinating shit.

Fantastic episode, even better than the terrific pilot. The genuineness of the abortion storyline was pretty astounding storytelling: how often do you hear characters respond to a situation like abortion with such honesty? None of the characters seemed to be taking platforms. Each was responding as an invested,

YOU MEAN HE OWNED HIMSELF

This is why mediocre intellects shouldn't attempt O'Neal-esque snark on the Newswire. Apparently this guy doesn't realize 'Sorcerer' is one of the great, under-appreciated masterworks of the last forty fucking years. I suggest Phil Dyess-whatever-pick-a-name actually watch the goddamn movie, then consider what *he*

An A pilot for me. My wife and I laughed a LOT. It's strange, we watched this week's "Community" finally after watching "Girls," and I could barely make it through. "Girls" feels much more rooted not just in emotional, psychological reality, but it also feels like it's honestly curious about its characters (while

Both Tobias' and George Michael's slips on the spilled vodka are amazing: they both pratfall in a way that not only maintains character, but *reveals* it. Just brilliant acting by both.

Arrested Development in particular was adept at slapstick. Between Arnett and Cross and Cera, some of the series' high points could have been imported into a silent comedy and James Agee would have gotten a firm semi-chub watching it.

I hear George Steele was hurt by some of Tim Burton's directives on the set of 'Ed Wood."

The Foucault hat trick!

Let's pool our money so we can afford to 1) re-animate Heath Ledger, 2) show him this exact picture of Ira Glass, 3) tell him that Christopher Nolan wants Ledger for reshoots of the disappearing pencil scene from The Dark Knight.

I haven't seen Marky Mark this funny since I last clicked on that brilliantly satirical Wahlburgers site: http://wahlburgers.com/

Christopher Reeve rising from his wheelchair to punch Toby Keith.

Tell that to little brother Emmcy.

I'll be fine. If you don't mind, I think I'll now go shower in a Puerto Rican locker room.

We're all Bruiser Brody now.

In response, JJ Abrams crafted a multi-paragraph statement that opens with show-stopping audacity and promise but then methodically collapses into incoherent tripe by the end of paragraph three.
