I've been hoping to get into Carnivale, and this would be the perfect kick in the pants I need to actually pull the trigger on buying the DVDs.

Agreed. There's a stretch in the middle where it's very enjoyable. It gets a little lazy toward the end, but most shows do.

I enjoyed it. I like how it told you some of the good places that he didn't get a chance to go to, but also some of the crummier places he was purposefully avoiding. That's something you don't get so much on NR.

Paul Brittain has done two awesome things - Sex Ed Vincent last year and Ron Paul this year. That earns him more time in my book.

Saw it coming after the whole "If you die before me, I'll kill you." I always enjoy foreshadowing like that. Plus, in Beaver's hands, it was a great line.

This might be Sean O'Neal's finest work yet.

The S7 finale is by far the low point for me. I like most of S6 and 7, but when they went into that stupid fantasy world where Carla and Turk were one weird person, I just turned it off. Thank god it didn't end on that.

I thought "Carmenjello" was hilarious. Andre is at his best when he's either desperate or smug, and this one gave him a chance to be both. The his pleas about "garbage time" were great.

This doesn't beat rotting fish parts, but in one of the earlier seasons they had to drink the blood of a cow or something. And it was "fresh", like, just had been drained from the cow. The last competitor had to drink a whole pint of it or something. That left quite the impression on me.

Wasn't he bald? Plus, I think he was wearing one of those plaid shirts that George always wore. Could be wrong.

Doesn't Coach have a hidden immunity idol? Interesting that he and the rest of Upolu didn't even consider playing it. They must have been pretty confident Cochran was switching.

I've only seen roughly half the seasons of this show, but has there ever been this kind of palpable animosity between tribes, or from group of people at one person? Not like the kind directed at Philip last season where it's more just that the person is too freaking irritating, but actual hatred that seem like it

Seriously, fuck that guy. Cochran was supposed to volunteer to be voted out? And he's somehow the idiot/bitch/coward for not wanting to do that? And Ozzy is somehow the genius/hero for pulling such a move, never mind that it was completely unnecessary? Wow. Fuck that guy.

The scene between Coach and Cochran was absolutely outstanding. First, Cochran probably thought it was just awesome that he was having a strategy discussion with Coach. Then, you could see the color drain out of Cochran's face as Coach cut right through all his bullshit. And then, it almost looked like Cochran was

I was thinking the same thing. If somehow Jim turned into the kingmaker in that tribe, he easily could have decided to drag Cochran with him. Could be a similar situation with Coach's tribe though. Albert and Sophie were antsy about the Edna situation a couple weeks back. Maybe those three grab Rick and form a group

That might have been the best part of the who tribal council. Brandon's crazy loyalty/honesty doing something good for a change.

There wasn't anything cowardly about what he did. It might not be the best strategy, that doesn't make it a cowardly move. He didn't exactly have any good options at that point.

He absolutely is the perfect douche for Survivor.

They still lose a good amount of weight, but probably not as much as during those first few years. It's not like they're eating that much food.

And it's a much more nuanced game than anything else on TV. There's finish line, there's no set number of questions you have to answer, there's no score, there's no way to tell if you're ahead or behind (only whether you're still in the game or not), and there's no set "good" way to play, meaning every season is at
