I'm a Cubs fan and I used to really like Chip when he was doing Cubs games with Steve Stone. But now I can't stand him. I'm guessing Stone's brilliance overshadowed Chip's idiocy.

The sea was angry that day, my friends. Like an old man trying to send back soup at a deli.

Aw man, we're missing the Deathblow!

Too Good
I haven't laughed this hard at a Curb since "The Freak Book". I don't like throwing this word around much, but this was brilliant. Larry's calm and casual responses to Shara's bigoted dirty talk had be rolling.

Totally agree, Dowd. I don't know if it's because he's watched too many episodes in a short time and he's getting sick of it, but these reviews have become much more negative as the weeks go on. The comment section has been much more enjoyable than the reviews for some time now.

I laughed at this in a completely "this is awesome/I can totally relate" kind of way.

Clip shows
I actually like clip shows. The Seinfeld ones especially (they did another before the finale) are just top notch.

I second "The Hamptons".

The Opera
I'd probably put this one in there. Crazy Joe Davola is one of my favorites.

I agree with Frug, but (and perhaps not by coincidence) I never really understood how they fit into the rest of the mythology. Who were they rebelling against, the alien colonists or the Syndicate? And how does killing those people really help either cause?

I've always loved how Mulder says "Talking 'bout Shaft." Cracks me up every single time. And I can never quite mimic his tone and emphasis when I try to say it myself…

My favorite part of Billy's speech was when he said something like "Not even your parents will know your names". Can't remember it exactly but it cracked me up.

I think you guys are probably right. I guess it all depends on how pissed off and bitter Grant is. He might not be the kind of guy who holds a grudge and is fairly simple-minded, so Rob might be able to sweet-talk him back into his arms.

Grant over Natalie
I thought Rob's choice between Grant and Natalie was a tough one. I was thinking he should have voted Natalie though because she has less of a chance to win and get back into the game. If Grant does win at RI and gets back in the game, he's going to be in full-on vendetta mode to take Rob down.

I love the little part where George says, "Then who would lead, the clown?" and then backs off a bit when Favreau takes a step at him. Such a good scene. I was cracking up just reading this recap.

Zack…
Those last two paragraphs of your X-Files recap are just gold. Well done sure. Perfectly put. It reminded me of one of my favorite lines of dialoge from Mulder, from the Fight the Future, where he's at the bar wallowing in self-pity, saying something about yelling at the sky with a badge and a gun that the sky

I actually thought it got less ridiculous in the last couple of seasons. Maybe I was just used to it by then. Enjoyable once you learn to suspend some disbelief. Some truly great characters (Said, Beecher, O'Reily) but some are totally flat and boring (Warden Glynn).
