I have love for Ghosts of Sargasso. That was one I'd show people to try and get them into it (not that it worked too well…).

Answer to OP: yes!

Wait? John Hughes had it all wrong?

I am glad she keeps hubby and music separate.

I liked the movie and never read the books. Admittedly, some of the reasons I like the movie involve the film totally convoluted, but whatever. Great quotes and images.

Haha. Movieline humor copy.

Or a "West Wing" type show modeled on the east wing.

Dupont Circle gays are so 80's. It's all about Trinidad.

A small, extremely cute dog wearing a sailor's suit ran across the stage to the delight of the crowd.

It's like the internet was never invented for these Elizabeth Shue movie watching masturbating guys…

You can still go back up there and get your jokes on.

I did not know that.

I sort of kept listening to both Pavement and Luna, but never rated their albums as highly. I will never attempt to justify my Gary Young feelings to other Pavement fans since many of them like Pavement WAY more than I do, and Gary Young is/was a freak.

Admittedly, I feel the same way about Pavement losing Gary Young, which is more of a contested view.

Yes. Perhaps they could have a seance, get in touch with the dead author and have him agree to some much-needed edits.

It IS the best of the three. I read them all. Page turners. Not too good. Swedish Dan Brown in need of editing.

I never enjoyed their stuff as much after Stanley Demeski left.

Reading about the Galaxie 500 dynamic in "Black Postcards" I got the impression that not only would it be like getting back with your high school girlfriend, but you'd also have to hear them (Damon Krukowski/Naomi Yang) bitch about stuff that happened 20 years ago. I read somewhere that the other 2/3rds of Galaxie 500

When I saw the Swedish version that's who I thought was going to be the dude. As far as I know there is only one old Swedish actor guy that is any good.

My vote? Judy Dench!
