Does jizz shoot out your wiener like a howitzer? Otherwise, I TOTALLY call bs Dr. Acula.

I think she has made WAY too much money for a Playboy pose. She'd have to fall on some serious hard times for that, and with her dad having already experienced such a precipitous decline, he'll try very hard to prevent the same thing from happening to his daughter.

It's in the achey-breaky heart of the city.

I agree with Dumbledore's post, and not just the gist of it.

If you find yourself disliking something more and more because other people justify liking it, get over yourself; you're basically saying "I dislike this movie/band even more just because other say they like it." You're just looking for stuff to confirm what you already believe.

I saw both films in the theater and liked them, but I personally never saw ND as a vehicle to laugh at rubes. In the little worlds of both films, I felt like what the characters did made perfect sense, and I probably would have done the same things.

Why is the movie so mean-spirited? Everybody in the film is nice, and good things happen to them because just about every character is kind hearted and considerate. They may appear to be losers to the audience, but in their world they aren't.

I really enjoyed the movie. The reasons people have for disliking ND probably sound just as stupid to me as my reasons for liking it sound to them.

I've never understood one of the digs against ND about it being so cynical. Most everybody in the movie has good intentions, and while they may seem like total losers to the outside world, in their own world they are doing just fine, and achieve their personal goals.

I should have ended my defense of the split infinitive with a dumb joke to indicate that I really was not too wound up about it. I did a poor job of indicating conversational questions as opposed to a more abrasive tone.

It will never supplant Goop.

Obviously you guys have not read "Twilight." Hot vampires are all the rage these days, market tested and approved.

Split infinitives are considered bad because of archaic rules that don't really hold up. What about "to subtly indicate" does not make sense? Why does "to indicate subtly" work so much better?

I bet she has pierced lady parts and a closet with whips and what-not.

The Flatulencer

Hatred in one's life does not make it easier Grasshopper.

I think I'd go with "Thinly Veiled Gay Reference Club" Idiotking.

I think hardcore conservative Republicans have a weird fetish for attractive, vapid ladies to publicly speak and parrot conservative talking points.

I said the same thing in the last thread about Pavement, but it came out as a failed firsties, with a typo with me spelling "fist" instead of "first."

Though I enjoy it, I don't begrudge people for not liking Malkmus's singing. That always seems to be the main hang up in my experience with people that don't like them.
