For anyone that is in the UK, in 30mins, Hunted starts on BBC1! This is a show that will air on Cinemax in a few weeks. Apparently it's meant to be awesome. About time us Brits got a show before you guys!

They thought she was stupid based on the fact she failed an exam 3 times. The worry with the valet job was that they were worried the person looking after their mental health needs to have another job, thereby diminishing the aura and respect they had for someone they assumed was highly qualified etc.

I do appreciate that there have to be characters with conflicting views, otherwise television would be incredibly dull, but by the end of that episode, the message seemed to be, a normal, working class white woman is disgusted that her husband is now a Muslim. Albeit it is the opinion of that one character, with the…

I think the reason is simple. Television is seen as a form of escapism, people watch to forget the shit in their own lives. I bet they would hate to see their real life worries shown to them every week.

It seems an easy way to put across their views without it looking like they are. It just seems like such an overreaction to something they could have sat down and discussed. She had to empathy at all. She went straight into anger mode instantly, and telling on Dana as if she had said/done the worst thing imaginable.

I totally agree, it may not have been their intention, but it's what will resonate with the average fan.

I do see that she is personally betrayed, as it's such a big secret to hide, especially when her daughter knows, but do you think her emotions got the better of her, leading to her (over)reaction? I would have thought finding out about a spouse changing religion would not lead to such a reaction!

The scenes where Jessica finds out Brody was Muslim were really uncomfortable. The show gave the impression that being a Muslim is the worst thing in the world! Pretty anti-Islamic, no?
