Yeah, it's so confusing what shows exist and what shows don't…….

No mention of the Greendale-verse Doctor Who?

No, you're not. I like the show too. I think that it's a lot of fun.

I thought that they were covering the show…as in the whole show, not just significant episodes.

Ok, true, but Imelda Staunton is so MUCH more than Umbridge and her performance in Vera Drake is just…amazing.

Yeah, I not sure how smart that is. I have a feeling like Doctor Who is one of their biggest names, biggest sellers. It feels akin to the people at ABC deciding to split up Modern Family's third season into 2011-2012, 2012-2013….

I am dreading the announcement that any or all of them are not returning for more series after the third one. They are doing such a great job that I want to retroactively knock some sense into people who were soooo sure that the series was going to become super-kiddie and filled with bad acting….

I'm going to guess that while the events may have been tied up neatly that the emotions caused by the events haven't been. I feel like Rory is getting increasingly jaded to the wonder of travel with the Doctor and upset with the Doctor. Plus, how will Amy react to knowing that the Doctor slammed the door in her face?

Interesting! I was definitely curious because I am not sure what I would think of the 6th series as a kid.

Rory is definitely my favorite companion of the New Who. He HAS grown increasingly interesting over almost 2 series. I recently re-watch The Eleventh Hour and all I could think was "that's Rory?!?!?!"

I have liked the second Moffett series more than the first one. I felt like his first series was too scattershot and the emotional resonance wasn't as strong as it needed to be. I do agree that the darkness has been overwhelming, but I have to hope that Moffett can pull out of it and provide more balance in his third

I feel like it was actually a really strong hour for all three of them, but yes Gillan did a lot of really nice work. I especially liked her conversation between the two Amys about Rory.

Yes, the ending for Donna is such a sad ending.

If you mean lightheartedness, I've read in a couple of interviews with Moffet that the second half of series 6 is pretty much unrelentingly dark. It makes me wonder what the kids, who are supposedly the show's main audience, think of series 6.

I liked seeing the Doctor's dark side. We've only glimpsed it a here and there in the new series, this episode and the Water of Mars special. I feel like Matt Smith is doing just a tremendous job as Eleven.

Also very true, plastic Rory probably could have lasted another 2000 years….

But Rory chose to wait those 2,000 years for Amy, knowing that she would be there at the end and having a chance to interact with others. Amy was forced to spend 36 year, alone, and believing herself to be adandoned. They aren't exactly equal.

I apparently like the episode a lot more than you did. I always like episodes where it's the main characters who are the focus and not the new place or alien. And I have to point out that the whole "the Doctor can screw things up a lot for those that he touches" is not exclusive to the Moffet era. There are at least a

Really. As I recall, it's only mentioned because it led to the super taxation (and other things) that lead to the Revolutionary War. Of course that's important but in terms of time covered, a few days tops. Of course that's the Ohio educational system for you.

Yes, but it's supremely white-washed history that takes place during a war that I think I've only ever spent a week at most studying…..not exactly sure how that works out. Not that I am complaining, I love Last of the Mohicans.
