I think that the opening scene + subsequent Yosemite stuff is about the most fun of any ST movie. That opening scene on "THE PLANET OF GALACTIC PEACE" is AWESOME and mysterious (when Sybok pulls his hood back to show his Vulcan ears!? Come on!), and the kirk+spock+mccoy hangtime while camping has wonderful character…
