It's good, but is it War Horse good?

I introduced my girlfriend to MST3K recently with Space Mutiny, which I think is the best episode for newbies. The movie itself is pretty watchable on its own merits, the riffing is top-notch, and there are plenty of jokes that don't rely on any specific outside knowledge. She enjoyed the episode overall, but I could

Roll Fizzlebeef.

Putting the Manos episode first was a terrible decision.

Is this a reboot of the Rifftrax Norman shorts?

Maybe I'm in an easy mood today, but the creaky X-wing cockpit gave me a good laugh all three times I watched it.

I certainly agree that it was a bad idea and that CGIs Tarkin and Leia stuck out like unnaturally smooth sore thumbs. But it doesn't seem to have turned anyone off from seeing the movie, and most casual moviegoers probably didn't even notice. So by the studio's standards, it was a great idea.

♫ It's the 80s, do a lot of coke and vote for Ronald Reagan!

Forrest MacNeil gives this new rating system one star.

"Not being able to rely on pre-existing structures and character relations to deliver jokes forces Adam Reed and his fellow writers to mine humor from other sources, most notably the personalities of our team."

Loved the emotional scene where Baymax coerces his boss into giving him a per diem for gas.

Counterpoint: That name is awesome and for winners.

How about instead of sex you say another word, like pickle?

There should have been a deleted scene showing Palpatine as a well-adjusted young civil servant who only starts plotting the downfall of the Republic after a bunch of senators make fun of him for being named Sheev.

Radcliffe has a natural likability, though. On the charisma spectrum, he's closer to Paul Rudd than Aaron Taylor Johnson.

I guess I'm glad it's an option for people who enjoy it, but I don't understand how anyone could. Granted I've only seen a couple of movies in 3D (Pacific Rim and the first Hobbit in regular 24fps), but in both cases the 3D was a mildly painful distraction rather than an enhancement.

John Mulaney's overly-long recounting of that scene in his last standup special is a great bit.

"radical leftists at the Daily Show"

I just had a Weihenstephaner Hefe for the first time last night. Probably the best one I've ever had.
