Yeah, I guess Star Wars will never again be the singular special phenomenon it was when I was a kid, so might as well enjoy the fact that we're getting more of it, and at least some of the movies will be really good.

I wouldn't say I'm tired of Star Wars, because The Force Awakens was fun and the upcoming movies seem to be in good hands. But I am preemptively wary of how getting a new Star Wars film every year. I'd rather they space them out to be every 2 or 3 years, if only to keep them feeling like events rather than mandatory.

It's a jumping off point.

That was a great episode, which really surprised me since I couldn't *stand* Cheri Oteri when she was on SNL. She's funny though.

Russell Peters is fine I guess, but he can't hold a candle to Paul F Tompkins' interviewer skills. His Speakeasy interview with Andy Daly is especially delightful.

I liked Batfleck just fine, he's one of the best things about BvS, and I especially enjoyed his scenes with Alfred and Wonder Woman, but that was a terrible line with terrible delivery.

For me it's Snowfall Music by Carbon Leaf. It's the perfect song for when you feel lonely and you want to really lean into the sadness and find some catharsis. Best moment: when the high harmonies come in at 2:42.

Middle School: A Little Something For Daddy

Skeleton-Willie-on-fire is definitely the scariest image the Simpsons have ever had.

Well you could put his name inside three pairs of parentheses, but that'd be pretty horrible.

Buncha GODDAMN VAMPIRES

Yeah, that part (along with several others) is much longer in the "Unbearably Long, Self-Indulgent Director's Cut" as it's labeled on the DVD. I'm conflicted on it, because a lot of the jokes and songs that got cut for time are great, but the '70s stuff really drags and the whole movie has pacing issues. It's pretty

You guys should settle this the old Navy way: the first guy to die, loses!

I've always called that "the witch's kiss."
