I had the interview window with Hillcoat the same day Tasha did hers - after my time was up, the PR flack came on with me still on the line to tell him that Tasha Robinson from the AV Club was next. I wanted to say, "Hey, I (sorta) know that person! And she's not black!" But I just hung up.

Does anyone remember the "11 Alive!" ads they used to run? I seem to recall a long one with a big production number featuring their shows, but I can't seem to find it anywhere.
Good lord was this terrible. Cartoony sound effects when people are struck with objects? Really? That's the best they could come up with.
And I totally agree with Tasha on Stana Katic's "performance," which made me turn off the PS3 and find something better to waste my time with.

I worked at an amusement park for four summers during college (Paramount's Kings Dominion for all you I-95 folks) and the games are not rigged. Tilted toward you to fail? Yes. Rigged? No.

I think what's more distressing is if that a contestant does veer away from one of the "this can't be sung songs" (Police, MJ, Whitney, etc.) or the "AI staples" (Gavin DeGraw, etc.), the judges remain astoundingly inept on most modern music.
