First things first. Congrats on finishing the show! It's one of my favorites and it's always nice when someone new powers through it.

If you want to consider less than 9% stock ownership "most" then sure.
Maybe he really is an asshole (in which case, screw me I guess) but I got the impression he wasn't suggesting he was superior for either not liking games or for guessing the twist. I'm sure both responders have had their fair share of close minded people attacking them for their tastes or whatever but this guy really…
This movie is tops on my and my friends' list of movies that we were 100% certain would be terrible and yet were surprisingly entertaining. It may just benefit from the extremely low bar a name like Joe Dirt sets but it could be way way worse.
I suppose this is similar to the line of thinking that asks why they bother to continue reviewing it if it's going to keep getting such low grades. Dragging the show over the coals (in this specific case for this specific show) IS the point. That's WHY people read these reviews and comment at all.
I like this guy. I'd like to subscribe to your newsletter.
I think it's safe to say you're the one missing something. He pretty clearly gets it. Would you rather someone who genuinely likes the show to review it? Do you not read the rest of the comments where he's constantly praised for crafting entertaining reviews that are better than the actual show? Is it just a law…
EXACTLY! She twice lets herself be stupidly kidnapped for the slim possibility that these deranged murderers will stay true to their word and let her be with her son. Then they're finally past it all and she can't even be bothered to bring him along to Bacon's place (his dark even with the lights on place)?
By far the best part of the episode. Every second in that boathouse was pure gold. He looked mildly perturbed to be "engulfed" in fire.
Thank you. I couldn't believe we're supposed to be accepting of the fact that they knew all along they'd manage to single out one particular FBI agent in the middle of all that mayhem and have everything go to plan. Even in the world of the show there's countless times things don't go according to plan but one of…
I'd say it's far more preposterous that she was alive to make that call than it is that she was dead when they found her. She was buried when it was still the dead of night and they didn't even get a call from her until it was fully light out. How much air can there possibly be in that small coffin that she was…
I just commented on this above but yes live is absolutely the way to take in pretty much all Talking Heads and specifically Remain in Light. It's got my favorite collection of songs by the band and yet I almost always choose live versions of the songs.
My favorite song by my favorite band (specifically the version they did in Tokyo on The Name of This Band Is…
I haven't seen the documentary yet so I was curious if they were arguing that Kubrick specifically put all these things in or if they were saying the movie itself just has these themes. From what you're saying it sounds like they're arguing the former, which yes seems to be a bad idea while anyone is still alive to…
I specifically blame Purefoy for a good deal of this disaster. He's god awful and almost always one note. The few times he adds a second note, that note is awful.
That really was impossible not to notice wasn't it? My immediate thought when they slashed the tires was that the creators of this show are officially trolling us now.
RIGHT?! I sort of made the point earlier on, but they basically decide to stay in the name of having a "plan" which turns out to be as complex as having a shotgun that can shoot through a bullet proof vest and…?
Some questions (in no particular order):
Oh man so much this. Way to basically make everything that everyone did to protect you a total waste. Seriously at least 4 people this episode alone died or were shot in vain.
I just want to know if the creators of the show want us to swoon and go awww when he tries to have these father/son bonding moments. I certainly don't swoon but I really want to know if the writers are expecting us to.
