I like Drew, I really do, but anyone who just outright condemns musicals because they are musicals reveal a douchey hipster-ness that intelligent people shouldn't sink down to. Most 80's "buddy films" are so obviously dated that it's really hard to find many that have worth in them today. Since the style and consciousness of that decade is so unique and repugnant, it's always a bonus to find a great film(s) that came out of the era.
