Yeah, who was complaining about that?

Well, I personally was okay with Carrie's arc last season of her obsession with proving that Brody was turned. It's a lot better to me than this season - where she's just kind of bouncing around, and emotionally unstable.

Agreed. I mean, of course the show is playing on the "how reliable is she" angle. This has been there since the first season, and is a part of the tension of the show. The tug between her disorder and her capability to be a good agent.

Agree with this review. Episode was a meandering subplot. Obviously I get that it's important to build on the characters and the world. But the shows attempt at doing this always feels so rushed and undercooked. Unlike Lost that also had episodes centered around single characters, this show just doesn't know how to

Felt like a filler episode to me.

I have to say, this episode only reaffirms that I don't really like this season. I feel like in Season 1, while the audience was always kept in the dark about the twists and major plot developments, we still had a pretty clear main plot: Is Brody turned? This season, it feels much less defined. Some attack might

Yeah writer, THIS WAS THE BEST EPISODE SO FAR. What are you thinking!?

Don't get the hate for this episode. Actually liked the backstory stuff. Emma was a lot more likable then, and I actually felt bad for her boyfriend.

Good point about the call girl. I recently watched Season 1, and agree that plot wasn't that good. Don't agree that this season feels more cohesive though. But I think you are right in that, Season 1 (while I personally like it more so far) - also had some of the sloppy traits of this season.

This is true. But like I said, for me it's not so much the realism that bothers me, as much as I'm not a fan of how the show is stylistically executing it. It just feels more over the top to me then Season 1. The more implausible things stick out more.

I think ultimately you are right, I was more willing to be okay with it being implausible last season, because of what the show was saying. What it was doing with the characters. And again for me, the show just was much better at stylistically playing it off.
