When you put it that way, makes it even more ridiculous. Dexter really hasn't been a show in recent years to follow realism though. And Dexter has been pretty stupid himself.

I actually liked the Dexter episode a little bit more. Thought I would never say that in a million years. Really hated 5 and 6.

Good point. Ratings are kind of semantics anyways. At least for me though, this was on par with some of Dexter's best outings. I was really surprised by it.

I just think it would be a bit silly. I mean, what would the odds be that a lover 20 years ago, writes just like Gale, and has a fondness for Walt Whitman and connects it to Walt.

I would be really mad if this became true, because the writing is too similar. I might be able to believe that Gretchen gave him that book. But I couldn't believe she writes in the same style as Gale, and even has a very specific subject she relates to Walt.

I wasn't too bothered by it. At the end of the day, Breaking Bad wouldn't be as impacting if we didn't have a fleshed out family/side characters.
