kxs401- if Joshua (another hip-hop dancer, to generalize about styles) could win, don't see why Russell couldn't… Though I'll admit it's a bit of a long shot given the usual domination of contemporary dancers.

Russell (the Krumper) for the win! He was blessed with a ballroom dancer for the ballroom round, but he still really pulled it out, and he even seems like a nice guy.

Opening montage
They're still using the season 1/2 opening montage… with Big Daddy etc… (didn't catch the show until season 4, but bought the rest on bootleg DVD)- odd that they haven't made one featuring the dancers from last season, like they usually do.

Quiet around here
Compared to the hundreds of comments that some of the other shows get, SYTYCD seems pretty quiet. What's up with that? AV Club types don't watch it? I think many might lump it in with AI, as I did until season 4, and thus not give it a chance… come on, guys, this is one of the best shows on TV!

I couldn't remember who she was, but certainly recognized her and it's so odd that it didn't merit a mention… huh.

I agree, couldn't believe that Russell (the krumper) was sent to choreography but the b-boy got through with his tricks. I mean, I know it's basically arbitrary (we've seen that time and time again- I think it has a lot to do with what the judges just saw and if they're in a good mood)… but damn. Really? Really?!? …

Brothers
My enjoyment of the "brothers" tension/storyline that the producers are trying to create is handicapped by my inability to tell the two apart.

I was searching for SYTYCD alums among the Glee dancers but didn't spot any (really thought some should be there, always nice to see that they're getting gigs), thanks for pointing it out! I watched all of season 5, but I suck at names- which one was Lauren? Musta left kinda early…

I'm really surprised at the comments so far… I thought this was a pretty fantastic episode, made me move Glee up my DVR priority list. Does Will drop the Acafellas after this episode? I agree that it would be lame to have the Acafellas as a one-episode thing, but that wasn't the impression I got from Will's…

The Ron-Robin pairing was the best part of the whole episode.

She was my favorite audition of the night, just wish we'd gotten the whole thing instead of the bits and peices.
