While I know they aren't the same, Hard Girls slightly edge out Shinobu for me. Morgan's style of writing just does it for me. They're such hard working, genuine musicians. I'm rarely as proud as I am for a band as I was when A Thousand Surfaces came out.

I thought James Franco was so-so. He seemed game and energetic but nothing especially funny. The Walken impression was embarrassing.

Minaj was the highlight for me. Her impressions weren't stellar but she seemed to have a ton of fun in the sketches. I was expecting more on the production side of her performances though.
