Never Not Funny
"Yes, this is a comedy podcast, some of it is funny, and listeners should know by now to forgo any moral reservations; but with an ever-growing number of comedy podcasts, Never Not Funny can't afford to become lowbrow, even as one of the field's pioneers."

I'm a big fan of the Jimmy Pardo episode, but I'm biased since I think Never Not Funny is the best podcast out there and Pardo is one of my favorite comics.

One of the best podcasts out there
Funny guy, great podcast. There's not much I can say that hasn't been said on a weekly basis in the Podmass article, but it's nice to see him achieving success beyond the podcast.

I generally like Hardwick. I like Web Soup a lot. I generally do not like the sketches on Web Soup. They usually go on way too long with almost no payoff at the end. I'm all for long, drawn out setups, but the Web Soup sketches usually fall flat for me. Every time I decide not to fast forward and hope that it'll be

I read some Ultimate Spiderman (first 20 or so issues) and I really liked it. I may have to pick it back up to check out Parker's death.

You can find volume 2 and 6-10 of the Starman trades on www.instocktrades.com. They generally have a pretty solid selection. And if not there, Amazon Marketplace is generally good, though you never really know what condition they'll be in until you get them.

Say what you will about this movie, BoomShaka, but if there's one thing that Tom Hanks has plenty of, it's charisma.

It hurts me a bit when I see all this anti-Bay sentiment. I get it, sure, but he made The Rock, and that is a damn fine movie. One of the best actions movies of the last 20 years in my mind.

His character work is definitely funnier when he has someone to bounce off of, but I didn't think that was really the problem. I thought the standup he did was really simple. "Hey, you know what's funny? Pooping!"

She's always great on Never Not Funny as well, even the episode where she forgot to show up and called in to apologize late in the show.

I believe there are four Odd Thomas books at this point, and I've read the first two. I actually really enjoyed the first one but the second was a bit of a dud.

Good for Maron. It's not my favorite podcast, but I'm still subscribed after recently dropping a couple of others I wasn't really into anymore. I can find his personality to be a bit oppressive but he does do a good interview. I wonder what this will mean for podcasts as a whole. Will someone be looking to Comedy Bang

I haven't heard that DLM episode yet and I don't generally mind Carolla, but the man cannot stop talking. I don't think I could ever listen to his show. His appearance on Never Not Funny was good, but several times I was mentally willing him to stop and take a breath.

I just finished watching the series for the first time (and have the final season of Angel still to watch). I thought season 7 was pretty great so it's nice to see defenders here. I had always read online that it was a total waste but I'd probably rank it above seasons 6 and 1. I don't want to get into spoilers, but

Would Jimmy V be giving the speech he gave at the ESPYs? Because I weep every time I hear that speech, and while I like when the Office is touching, that seems like it'd be going a bit too far.

Yeah, maybe I will wait for a second compendium to be published and pick that up. I ended up selling the compendium when I was done with it since I couldn't really see continuing at the time, but if you say it's worth picking back up maybe I eventually will.

I'm with you, Sconn. Trades are the only way to read comics as far as I'm concerned. The only problem is how long it takes a storyline to hit trade. I'm eager to check out Flashpoint, but it'll probably be two years until I do, what with the delay from initial run to trade, and then the wait from hardcover to

Now I really want to know what that spoiler is all about. I read the compendium, which runs through issue 48, and by the time I finished it I was Walking Dead-ed out. I just felt like things in the story had been stagnant for a while and lost interest in reading further.

Also just saw it, also liked it a lot. Hemsworth and Hiddleston did great work as Thor and Loki. As sarCCastro said, Thor was incredibly charming, and I liked that they played Loki subtler than they could have. He was never really over the top evil, and he didn't mug for the camera every time he lied to someone (which
