I know it came off that way but I think (hope) she just meant that she is an example of a viewer outside the target demographic so if HBO uses the excuse that it can't appeal to straight women, they'd be wrong.

I love most of the actors in "Togetherness" but that's where its appeal and talent ends. "Looking" is the full package and aside from some valid criticisms above, is refreshing to watch. It's the only show with new episodes I'm watching on HBO right now (at least until Game of Thrones returns).
Actually, I agree that many of your criticisms are fair, but the episode tonight actually acknowledged a few of them and seemed to lay a bed for future improvements in these areas. I think it will continue to improve upon the problematic things you mentioned if we can get another season. I hope so.
Tits and wine?
I don't find it boring at all. Just carefully, beautifully paced. They can't cancel this show. There is good story here. I am engaged and impressed and gah, why are all the shows I love cancelled or in danger of being cancelled so early in their lifes?
