This is such an amazing point.  I never thought about that before, but it's so accurate, and it says so much about how our schema for the world is built on direct observation of where we're from.  When you're a kid, a "house" isn't a malleable archetype, it's YOUR house.

Not always, of course.  There are some good young musicians and there are plenty of kids with excellent taste.  But when a mob of middle-schoolers loves something, it's not a good sign.

Alternative theory: kids don't have the breadth of experience necessary to produce good music, or, as consumers, determine if something is worthwhile.

And at that exact moment, Kanye finally entered his zone.

Yeah, I'm not sure what's going on with those Thrift Shop reviews; it seems really obvious that the Macklemore song isn't intended to be some crazy comedy gimmick, but is instead earnestly making the case that being cool and having fun and liking yourself doesn't require you to own expensive things, and in fact that

My favorite thing about Hob is how he subverts the "death is noble and living forever would be a secret curse" cliche.  To me, Hob's take rings a lot more true: the world can be awful sometimes, but living in it is pretty great.

Um, so what was the non-live action film that did better?  Because as the headline says, that superlative is only "mostly" unqualified.
